John A. Laskey

A retired lieutenant and homicide detective with the Chicago Police Department., has over 30 years investigative experience in the public and private sectors. John was the Investigations manager for three major Chicago area medical center corporations and was engaged in “Pro Bono” criminal defense consultations with various legal clinics. John served as adjunct faculty in the criminal justice departments of universities and colleges and has published many articles regarding crime and investigations in professional journals. John has served as an expert witness in investigations and has consulted in state and federal court cases.

John holds the security industries highest credentials in security management and in investigations, awarded the Certified Protection Professional and Professional Certified Investigator designations, one of few in the United States to hold both certifications.
John is a graduate of the Detective Training Institute in Santa Ana, California and holds a certificate in Criminal Defense Investigations from DePaul university School of Law, The Center for Wrongful Convictions

John holds a master’s degree from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Criminal Justice. He has graduated from The School of Police Staff and Command, and The Command Management Program, Northwestern University.
